Calibration agent for metrology drift investigation
Product non-conformance and suspected measurement drift have separate review notes. Valid references support an approved verification plan; stale calibration records hold the measurement decision. The workflow, tool calls and human approval are simulated.

Need
A changing reference-gauge value can confuse product deviation with measurement-chain drift. Altering thresholds without reviewing calibration status can hide defects.
Solution approach
The agent aligns reference readings, calibration records and environmental events. Control examples support the drift hypothesis and a calibration or verification task. Threshold changes are proposed for human approval, never written directly.
Process steps
- 01
Read evidence
The item image and event context are read while the item arrives. No live external-system connection is used.
- 02
Tool calls
The scenario read-only tools compare simulated evidence packages: GAUGE + CAL.
- 03
Evidence-linked plan
Sources are associated in the REF / DRIFT context and a VERIFY plan is drafted. Missing evidence remains separate.
- 04
Human review
The plan enters simulated review; this phase is not approval. Missing or conflicting evidence produces a visible HOLD state.
- 05
Approval and command gate
Only the virtually approved cycle opens the allowed-command gate and releases the item. A held cycle keeps the gate closed without issuing a command.
