L-LAS-LT

L-LAS-LT laser triangulation sensors measure the distance and thickness of objects without contact; short-range types resolve typically 1 µm.
The L-LAS-LT series works on the laser triangulation principle: a red laser spot or line is projected onto the object, and the distance is calculated from where the reflected light falls on a line detector. Depending on the type, the measuring range extends from a few millimetres to about 1.7 metres; the shortest-range types resolve typically 1 µm.
For thickness measurement, two sensors are mounted opposite each other in a master/slave arrangement, and a controller integrated in the master evaluates both signals. A special version is available for transparent objects such as flat glass, foils and wafers. The Slim Line (L-LAS-LT-SL) types, with reference distances from 32.5 mm to 600 mm and a spot (-P) or line (-L) laser, fit tight spaces.
