FLB / FIA / TLB

FLB, FIA and TLB light barriers are designed for stamping dies and presses, covering part ejection checks, feed measurement and precise triggering.
FLB frame light barriers form a homogeneous light curtain with opposing rows of infrared emitters and receivers, detecting unguided parts from 0.2 mm upwards. Optical filtering and partly modulated operation make them insensitive to ambient light, and aluminium baffle plates with rubber-metal vibration dampers protect the optics from impacting parts. Their compact design suits ejection monitoring inside a stamping die.
FIA fork light barriers carry the evaluation electronics in the housing and are chosen for precise triggering in rough environments; the FIA-L laser types are used for feed measurement on presses and for checking small parts at high feed rates. TLB trigger light barriers, with infrared or visible light in fork or split design, are mounted in the lower half of the die and connected via a tool plug to an external pulsed-light or constant-light amplifier.
Key features
- FLB: infrared light curtain, detection of parts from 0.2 mm, dirt compensation by dynamic threshold correction
- FLB-CON8 control unit: 12-bit A/D, RS232 or Ethernet, FLB-TLB-CON8-Scope software
- FIA: integrated amplifier, easy alignment with visible light, red/green status LED; temperature-compensated analogue output on FIA-A types
- FIA-L: fork barriers with 680 nm or 850 nm laser, laser class 1
- TLB: FKB fork and SLB split barriers, infrared (905 nm) or red (660 nm) LED, optional blast-air connection
- TLB: connection via tool plug (TP, TPN, TPO); IP67 on FLB and FKB types

D-LAS / F-LAS / M-LAS
D-LAS, F-LAS and M-LAS laser light barriers detect very small objects with a parallel laser beam and are used for counting, triggering and positioning.

RED
RED laser edge detectors pick up very low edges in reflected light at high scan rates and are used to count sheets, caps and parts.
