SPECTRO-2

SPECTRO-2 two-channel sensor systems use two independent transmitters and receivers with fibre optics for moisture, distance and fluorescence tasks.
SPECTRO-2 is a two-channel sensor system with two separate light sources and two receivers, closing the gap between the contrast sensors (SPECTRO-1) and the colour sensors (SPECTRO-3). The two channels can work independently, or one can serve as a reference for a normalised comparison. Wavelengths from about 250 nm (UVC) to 2000 nm (IR) are available on both the transmitter and receiver side.
With suitable fibre optics, comparing two infrared wavelengths allows moisture checks on textile and paper webs, wood, bricks and ceramics. BICONE fibre optics provide compact, precise distance measurement, UVC types measure distance on transparent objects such as glass and liquids, and UV types detect fluorescent materials. Irregularities on moving metal strips, such as chatter marks, can also be detected.
Key features
- Two channels: two separately adjustable transmitters and two receivers; independent or referenced (normalised) evaluation
- Wavelength options from about 250 nm (UVC) to 2000 nm (IR) on transmitter and receiver
