Granule raw-material tracking and validation systems

Application example

At the silo charging point the code on each bag label is read by a fixed-mount reader. Material and lot are compared with the recipe of that silo; the charging port unlocks only for the matching material, and every charge is logged.

Information delivered

Material, lot and illustrative charged quantity are linked to a traceability record. A match opens the gate and allows flow; for the wrong material the gate stays locked and the display shows NG.

Need

Different materials in similar bags can reach the same charging point. Reading the label alone is insufficient; material and lot must be linked to the correct silo recipe.

Solution approach

A fixed reader images the arriving bag’s front label obliquely. Material and lot are compared with the silo recipe; raw code, comparison and charged quantity appear on the display, while lot linkage and interlock state are shown in the scene.

Process steps

  1. 01

    Arrival

The raw-material bag arrives on the rail above the charging port.

  2. 02

    Read

The reader decodes the bag label: material and lot.

  3. 03

    Validate

The scanned material is compared with the material in the silo recipe.

  4. 04

    Interlock

Depending on the result the charging-port slide gate opens or stays locked.
