SI-JET

SI-JET spray jet control systems use light barriers to monitor the density, symmetry and cone angle of the spray leaving a nozzle, inline.
SI-JET systems check the spray jet in transmitted light with three light barriers or three fibre-optic bundles built into a transmitter and a receiver unit. How much the jet attenuates the light indicates its density, and the differences between the channels indicate symmetry and cone angle, so blocked or incorrectly set nozzles are detected in time. Compressed-air connections integrated in the transmitter and receiver keep the system insensitive to dirt.
For the same task there are also the single-channel SPECTRO-1-FIO-JC and two-channel SPECTRO-2-FIO-JC fibre-optic sensors, and L-LAS-TB-…-AL-SC systems that record the jet profile with a laser light curtain. The fibre-optic versions can be used inside and outside potentially explosive atmospheres. The systems monitor nozzle faults on the line while spraying is in progress.
Key features
- Three-channel measurement: density, symmetry and cone angle checked with three light barriers or three fibre-optic bundles
- Light source: super-bright red LED (650 nm), modulated at 100 kHz; types with laser light barriers (A-LAS) also available
- Up to 31 spray values can be taught; 5 digital outputs
- Integrated compressed-air connection keeps the optics insensitive to dirt
- RS232 interface, SI-JET-Scope Windows software; electronics IP64, sensor front end IP67
- Single-, two- and multi-channel alternatives: SPECTRO-1-FIO-JC, SPECTRO-2-FIO-JC, L-LAS-TB-…-AL-SC

GLOSS / RLS
GLOSS and RLS-GD gloss sensors measure surface gloss on the production line, contact-free and continuously, at standard angles such as 20°, 60° and 85°.

COAST
COAST hybrid sensors evaluate colour, gloss and surface texture together and tell apart surfaces of the same colour but different structure.

GLAST
GLAST sensors inspect surface quality inline on highly reflective surfaces such as stainless steel, aluminium and paint, and on transparent glass and film.

SPECTRO-M
SPECTRO-M mid-infrared (MIR) sensors measure the thickness of thin oil and plastic layers on metal surfaces inline, from 0.1 µm upwards.
