Virtual aiming control and target tracking system
The moving target on the scenario screen and the aiming point projected by the sighting unit are located in the same camera image. Angular offset and time on target are measured in every frame and logged as a track.
The virtual pass image, offset track and result are presented for operator review. The stack light repeats the OK/NG evaluation displayed on screen.

Need
Two markers move within the same virtual scene and can briefly overlap. Background lines make it harder to present the target and aim point as separate tracks.
Solution approach
A pole-mounted camera sees the scenario screen in one view. The extra operator image shows the two markers with separate codes, a search region and a connecting line; the existing offset chart completes the result for the same virtual pass.
Process steps
- 01
Target
A moving target appears on the scenario screen; the camera watches the full screen.
- 02
Aim point
The sighting unit is steered to the target; the camera finds the aim point on the screen.
- 03
Offset
The offset between target and aim point is measured in every frame and the track is drawn.
- 04
Evaluate
Offset is compared with the tolerance ring and time on target is evaluated.
