Print, seam and count check of cement bags
A filled bag is imaged overhead in an enclosure with an air curtain; type print, mouth closure and torn regions are checked. A side reader verifies the production code; bag counts go to palletising control and reject decisions to the side-belt pusher.
Code, type result and bag count are sent to palletising control; a bag with an open mouth or tear is pushed onto the side belt. The operator display shows the closure region and reject counter.

Need
Filling dust soils the optical window; bag wrinkles may make print and the mouth seam appear discontinuous. Changes in the flattened bag position alter its angle to the code reader.
Solution approach
The enclosure and air curtain limit dust accumulation in front of the optical window. Overhead bar lights support print-template and mouth-closure continuity checks; an oblique side reader acquires the production code. The trigger edge counts each bag once.
Process steps
- 01
Infeed
The sensor detects the filled bag as it enters the inspection enclosure.
- 02
Acquire
The overhead camera captures print and closure; the side reader acquires the code.
- 03
Analyse
Type print, closure continuity and code result are assessed together.
- 04
Decide
The bag is counted; an open-mouth bag goes to the side belt and a conforming bag to palletising.
