Bitumen-area and shadow evidence with an in-gripper camera
The camera and lights viewing a bitumen part must fit between pads inside the gripper. Pad shadows and narrow illuminated areas make it necessary to distinguish inspected regions from regions that remain unseen.
Proposed output: visible bitumen mask and uninspected regions. The scene does not approve mechanical fit, uniform illumination or field detection performance.

Solution approach
Use a schematic capture pose for the centre camera and internal lights; mask bitumen, background and shadows separately. Check viewing coverage and illumination before a defect decision. Body, support, camera and cable suitability require separate physical validation.
