Polarisation-based stress screening of tempered drinking glass
The residual-stress distribution in tempered drinking glass needs evaluation. Without the optical path and thickness of the curved glass, a visible polarisation pattern cannot be treated directly as a mechanical-stress value.
Proposed output: optical-pattern map and regions requiring validation. This visualisation is not a calibrated stress measurement, temper classification or glass-strength certificate.

Solution approach
Acquire transmitted images under controlled polarisation and associate the reference with product position. Map regional optical-retardation or pattern differences. Converting these into stress requires separate validation of geometry, thickness, material coefficient and a suitable measurement method.
