Simultaneous panel-pair transfer with a dual vacuum gripper
The panel pair shares one transfer record while each panel retains its own placement confirmation. A single confirmed zone or occupied destination prevents paired-transfer completion. Calibration, grip and PLC sequence are animated as an illustrative simulation.

Need
Two panels on a shared gripper can have different contact states in each vacuum zone. Confirmation for one panel does not validate the pair; source presence, independent grip and destination occupancy need joint tracking.
Solution approach
Locate both panel positions and the dual destination nests. Represent contact and confirmation for each vacuum zone as separate simulated states. Show shared transport in a paired-pick context; lift, lower at the destination, release vacuum and verify both placements.
Process steps
- 01
Image and source
Image both panels and destination nests; establish paired-transfer context.
- 02
Pose and plan
Associate panel pose with shared-gripper alignment; check each destination for clearance.
- 03
Grip and lift
Both vacuum zones make contact; represent grip confirmation separately for each panel.
- 04
Transfer
Lift and carry the panel pair attached to the shared gripper above the destination.
- 05
Release and final check
Lower the panels, release vacuum and complete the shared record with both placement confirmations.
