Geometry-controlled colour discrimination of reflective metal bottle caps
Closely spaced colours on reflective metal caps are affected by surface reflections and changing bottle height. This concept maintains repeatable measurement geometry in a colour region separated from any print.
The selected colour class, proximity to its reference and validity status reach the quality interface. Sample trials test close colour pairs, cap printing and distance variation; no numerical discrimination guarantee is claimed.

Solution approach
The cap enters a fixed viewing geometry. Controlled illumination and glare management support a colour sensor or colour-camera signal. Actual caps establish reference classes; samples without valid position and signal are not forced into a colour class.
