Presence and OCR verification on an unwrapped pipe-print region
Text presence on a pipe does not prove readability or agreement with the expected product. Curvature, changing print location and reflections can leave portions of characters outside the usable view.
Proposed output: visible print region, recognised text and presence/readability verification. Recipe comparison is an added design option; no readability claim is made for text on a hidden surface.

Solution approach
Choose an ROI using pipe diameter and visible print position, then rectify the curved print region in validated views before OCR. Keep presence, readability and expected-text agreement as separate results. Recipe matching is an added option; validate diameter range, print format and optical visibility with samples.
Process steps
- 01

Select the pipe and print recipe
- 02
Trigger and reference
Locate the visible print region
- 03
Image / profile
Rectify using calibrated curvature
- 04
Decision
Separate presence and OCR results
- 05
