Layer-linked edge-deviation history during film winding
Inspecting only a finished packaging-film roll does not reveal when edge drift began. Glare and layer overlap can also be confused with geometric deviation, so winding needs a position-linked history.
Proposed output: winding-edge change map, onset position and invalid-measurement intervals. Rotation/length registration is an added design option; winding tolerance or process-control performance is not assumed.

Solution approach
In this concept, image the winding edge with controlled side lighting and align it to the roll reference. Link edge position to rotation or length records and track changes through successive layers. Separate glare and occlusion as invalid measurements. Validate optics and winding tolerance using film samples.
