Packaging identity reassociation after occlusion
Package tracks before and after occlusion retain their association status. A clear match prepares routing; an identity conflict holds the command and preserves the review record. Vision, identity and command states are animated as an illustrative simulation.

Need
Overlapping packages can briefly disappear from the camera. Similar surfaces can swap identities when they reappear; an uncertain track must not be forced into an association.
Solution approach
Item tracks are associated by position and appearance before and after occlusion; an identity conflict sends both items to reverification.
Process steps
- 01
Frame
Items arrive and the initial frame and item context are established. Vision results are illustrative.
- 02
Track
Each visible item receives a separate track contour; the first contour is the annotated track component.
- 03
Associate
Item tracks are associated by position and appearance before and after occlusion; an identity conflict sends both items to reverification.
- 04
Validate target
The track is checked against its event record and uncertain association enters HOLD. No physical command has been applied in this phase.
- 05
Allowed command and record
Only a validated item receives a routing command; the other cycle has no command and keeps the association under review.
