Lighting recipes and optical compatibility for multi-line packaging OCR
OCR across multiple production lines cannot use one setting for every packaging surface. Verifying lens, illumination and camera arrangements together prevents real print variation from being confused with a software fault.
Read text, character flags and evidence images are available by line and recipe. A common display unifies the inspection logic; actual acceptance limits are established from each line’s samples and operating conditions.

Solution approach
Sample trials select optics and lighting recipes for each line, including lens compatibility with the illumination assembly. Images are registered before OCR and expected-text verification. Low-confidence characters are separated without being accepted as correct.
