Inspecting and buffering sheet parts at a press exit
Link the simulated press unload with source-outfeed and buffer-receipt events. An occupied destination or uncertain pick condition prevents a new panel transfer from being completed. Line, robot and PLC phases are animated as an illustrative simulation.

Need
Panel orientation or presentation can change at the press exit, and the buffer may still contain a previous panel. Image detection alone does not verify press readiness or pick clearance; follow the unloading sequence separately.
Solution approach
Locate panel contour and outfeed pose; show press-outfeed readiness and buffer clearance in the simulated PLC sequence. Grip, lift from the exit fixture and carry above the buffer. After release, check panel orientation, buffer presence and source clearance separately.
Process steps
- 01
Line and item image
Image the press-outfeed panel and buffer; establish panel contour.
- 02
Target and line permission
Associate outfeed readiness, pick clearance and the empty buffer with separate checks.
- 03
Grip and lift
Grip and lift the panel from the press-outfeed fixture.
- 04
Transfer across the line
Carry above the intermediate buffer; keep press and buffer states visible.
- 05
Receipt and final check
Release the panel; link buffer presence and source clearance to the completed unload.
